Sports/Joint Injuries
Unfortunately many people have undergone surgery due to findings on their MRI and after surgery, their symptoms are worse or no better.
Along these same lines, many people who have horrible joint pain have a normal MRI and no particular source of their joint pain can be found on the MRI scan. This can be quite distressing to many people, as their pain is VERY real.
Your MRI may not indicate the source of your pain. Let a Doctor of Physical Therapy perform a hands-on evaluation (using Special Tests) in order to figure out the cause of your pain and come up with a plan of care. You may bring your MRI if you have one, but it is not required.
Does the pain meet the pathology?
A Doctor of Physical Therapy will perform a thorough history and examination of your injuries in order to see if Ried Physical Therapy would benefit you.
